"Haunting Legends"

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Speak to Your Success!

Dear Warner Center Toastmasters:

Are “I wish I’d said that’s” and “if only I could have thought of something to say’s” haunting you?  Do you replay communication and leadership missteps over and over and over again?  Are you plagued with uncontrollable fits of um’s and ah’s?

Face those fears and join us at our next meeting, themed “haunting legends,” on Thursday, October 25.  Dare to wear a costume or just come with your tongue tied in knots.  But come for sure because Warner Center Toastmasters can cure your fears!  Come prepared to do battle with the legendary fears that haunt you, that prevent you from realizing your best self, and that keep you shackled to a less-than-I-could-be way of life.

I promise – there is no trick, there is only a treat – the joy of conquering your fears and embracing victory!

Speak to your success!

Susan Mayberry

President, Warner Center Toastmasters Club #2966

Improve your confidence when speaking in front of people!

Toastmasters is dedicated to helping you overcome your fear of public speaking, so why fumble around in the dark with your self-image? Think of your Toastmasters club as a  communications laboratory, a forum for experimentation, a friendly place where it's OK to make mistakes -- in short, a workshop to polish your personal style.

If  this sounds good to you, then come join us for a light buffet and some great speakers at the Warner Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills. Currently the most popular Toastmasters meeting location in greater Los Angeles, WCTM at the Marriott provides a wide variety of excellent meeting  rooms for one of Los Angeles' finest and largest Toastmasters groups.

Warner Center Toastmasters has been enhancing careers and enriching interpersonal communications for our members for twenty-five years. Why leave great speaking skills to politicians and captains of industry? You too can speak like a pro, and we'll show you how.

It all comes together in a clearly defined and well-supported program of speeches and exercises that help you to sharpen your verbal skills, organize your words and gestures, and make you fast on your feet. Lose your fear of speaking in front of a large group, and you'll feel more confident speaking to anybody!

The Warner Marriott is located at 21850 Oxnard Street at the corner of Topanga. From Santa Clarita to Calabasas, Santa Monica to Chatsworth, we have active members from all over the area.

We DO meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month without fail (except Xmas). Meeting begins at 630pm, gavel at 7pm. Meeting concludes approximately 9pm. Guest fee: five dollars.  This site is updated twice a month with forthcoming meeting details, so check back often.  For details, please contact:
