Speak to and CELEBRATE Your Success!

 Dear Warner Center Toastmasters:

Please join us at our next meeting on Thursday, June 26th when we will CELEBRATE the Warner Center Toastmaster year end!  Wear your Hawaiian shirt and come prepared to Celebrate Your Success!

The past twelve months have been filled with many accomplishments.  Please share in the celebration of WCTM’s outstanding success.  We provided a speaking opportunity at each meeting for every member in attendance, and we began and ended our meetings on time.  (No small feat given the gabbers we can be!) Once again, Warner Center Toastmasters will be a Select Distinguished Club.

The accolades go to you – our members!  You make every meeting meaningful and interesting.  I’d like to specifically acknowledge some of you who directly contributed to our success:

·        Achieved the Competent Communicator Award - Shelly Bright, Cate Bramble, Eleonor Arellano and Danny Lopez

·        Achieved the Competent Leader Award – Cate Bramble, Eleonor Arellano

·        Served on the WCTM Audit Committee (our first Audit Committee ever!) – Shelly Bright (Chairperson), Geza Kalman, Carol Steffen, Marc Cohn

·        Served on the WCTM Nominating Committee (again a first for WCTM) – Carolyn Goldman (Chairperson), Stuart Juggler, Loan Carrison

·        Competed in TM Contests – Eric Bickford, Eva Barry (and me, too.)

·        Served as WCTM officers – Cate Bramble, Beverly Rankel, John Graves, Eleonor Arellano, Arnold Arch, Bonnie Schuman, Glen Rankel

·        Served as Club Videographer and photojournalist – John Graves

·        No acknowledgment of Warner Center Toastmasters’ success is complete without grateful thanks to our Founder, Rose Lane.  She is always present, guiding us forward, nurturing our speaking and leadership skills.  She challenges us to improve.  She sees the best in us – and expects it.  Thank you for your vision Rose!

This will be my last meeting as your President.  It has been a joy to stand behind the WCTM lectern and see your faces of support and encouragement looking back.  I am humbled by the bravery and courage I see displayed by you, our members, at every meeting.  You are an extraordinary group of people. I am ever grateful for the opportunities you have provided me.

We will close the meeting with the installation of the new officers.  Cate Bramble will assume the Presidency and lead you into the new Toastmaster year.  I am confident she will bring her humor and genius to the lectern and take you all on an exciting journey.

Come find your voice, come find your message and come find your speaking success!

Improve your confidence when speaking in front of people!

Toastmasters is dedicated to helping you overcome your fear of public speaking, so why fumble around in the dark with your self-image? Think of your Toastmasters club simply as a  communications laboratory, a forum for experimentation, a friendly place where it's OK to make mistakes -- in short, a workshop to polish your personal style.

If  this sounds good to you, then come join us for a light buffet and some great speakers at the Warner Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills. Currently the most popular Toastmasters meeting location in greater Los Angeles, WCTM at the Marriott provides a wide variety of excellent meeting  rooms for one of Los Angeles' finest and largest Toastmasters groups.

Warner Center Toastmasters has been enhancing careers and enriching interpersonal communications for our members for twenty-five years. Why leave great speaking skills to politicians and captains of industry? You too can speak like a pro, and we'll show you how.

It all comes together in a clearly defined and well-supported program of speeches and exercises that help you to sharpen your verbal skills, organize your words and gestures, and make you fast on your feet. Lose your fear of speaking in front of a large group, and you'll feel more confident speaking to anybody!

The Warner Marriott is located at 21850 Oxnard Street at the corner of Topanga. From Santa Clarita to Calabasas, Santa Monica to Chatsworth, we have active members from all over the area.

We DO meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month without fail (except Xmas). Meeting begins at 630pm, gavel at 7pm. Meeting concludes approximately 9pm. Guest fee: five dollars.  This site is updated twice a month with forthcoming meeting details, so check back often.  For details, please contact:
