Speak to Your Success! Dear Warner Center Toastmasters: Happy New Year! I
look forward to seeing you at our next meeting this Thursday, January
10th. Our theme is
“RESOLUTIONS.” Why
not start 2008 with a plan to enhance your speaking and leadership
skills? Effective
communication is the foundation for accomplishing many of our
resolutions – advancing at the workplace, establishing new
relationships, expanding responsibilities… the list is endless. I would even argue that by attending Toastmaster meetings
regularly you are maximizing your investment in yourself.
Get the most for your money and join us Three tips to make your meeting experience even more
beneficial: · When you show up plan to speak up! You’ve come to the meeting to grow your skills. Please don’t shy away from a chance to participate. Remember every member at every meeting will have the opportunity to speak either as a functionary or speaker on the program, or as a participant in Table Topics, or by introducing a guest or offering a personal Toastamonial. · Make every opportunity count! When you speak, work from a manual. This will ensure you receive the feedback needed to enhance your skills. ·
Expand your vision!
Are you aware of the opportunities in the Competent Leadership
manual? This new manual, introduced last year, affords
Toastmasters the opportunity to develop additional speaking and
leadership skills by receiving written feedback from fellow members.
Learn time management, delegation and implementation skills
while serving as Ti Warner Center Toastmasters is an exceptionally talented
club and an extraordinarily supportive group. Opportunities abound at WCTM – resolve to take advantage
of those opportunities. I
look forward to hearing you speak! Susan Mayberry, ATMB, CL President, Warner Center Toastmasters Club #2966 Be prepared to succeed because we will always…

Improve your confidence when speaking in front of people! Toastmasters
is dedicated to helping you overcome your fear of public speaking, so
why fumble around in the dark with your self-image? Think of your
Toastmasters club as a communications laboratory, a forum for
experimentation, a friendly place where it's OK to make mistakes -- in
short, a workshop to polish your personal style. Warner Center Toastmasters has been enhancing careers and enriching interpersonal communications for our members for twenty-five years. Why leave great speaking skills to politicians and captains of industry? You too can speak like a pro, and we'll show you how. It all comes together in a clearly defined and well-supported program of speeches and exercises that help you to sharpen your verbal skills, organize your words and gestures, and make you fast on your feet. Lose your fear of speaking in front of a large group, and you'll feel more confident speaking to anybody!
We DO meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month without fail (except Xmas). Meeting begins at 630pm, gavel at 7pm. Meeting concludes approximately 9pm. Guest fee: five dollars. This site is updated twice a month with forthcoming meeting details, so check back often. For details, please contact:
