Speak to Your Success!

Dear Warner Center Toastmasters:

I’ve got three words for you:  Competition, Celebration, and Dedication!  Are you wondering just what I mean?  Well…

1.     COMPETITION:  Warner Center Toastmasters will hold our club International Speech and Evaluation contest at our next meeting on Thursday, February 28.  This is a terrific opportunity to grow your speaking skills. Contact Cate Bramble if you would like to compete, need more information or if you would like to help out with the contest.

2.     CELEBRATION:  At our March 13 meeting Warner Center Toastmasters will celebrate our 25th Anniversary.  Join us for champagne toasts, some historic photos of the “olden days” of WCTM and a plethora of Table Topics TM success stories.  Our party would not be complete if we didn’t honor our Founder Rose Lane with a rousing round of roasts!!  Please let me know if you would like to join in the roasting fun – I’ll reserve time on the program for you.  (Not sure how to effectively give a roast?  No problem, the Toastmasters Special Occasion Speeches manual will walk you through the process.)

3.     DEDICATION:  Our Dues are Due in March.  Renew your dedication to developing your communication and leadership skills.  Dues are $155 for the period April through September and include Toastmaster International dues, Warner Center club dues and buffet fees for our meetings.  You may renew at the next few meetings or you may mail your renewal to:  Rose Lane, 2960 Shadow Brook Lane, Westlake Village, CA  91361.  Please make your check payable to Warner Center Toastmasters.

Thank you to our VP Education, Cate Bramble for chairing our February 14 meeting.  I hear all the speakers were absolutely phenomenal!  Congratulations to Nikki Todd for giving her Ice Breaker.  Kudos to our VP Membership, Beverly Rankel for advancing her leadership skills by presenting a module from the Toastmaster Successful Club series.  And finally, welcome to our two new members David Epstein, ATM and Michelle Estrellado.

At Warner Center Toastmasters we are here to help you succeed.  Enjoy the supportive, creative and friendly environment.  Come find your voice, come find your message and come find your speaking success!

Improve your confidence when speaking in front of people!

Toastmasters is dedicated to helping you overcome your fear of public speaking, so why fumble around in the dark with your self-image? Think of your Toastmasters club as a  communications laboratory, a forum for experimentation, a friendly place where it's OK to make mistakes -- in short, a workshop to polish your personal style.

If  this sounds good to you, then come join us for a light buffet and some great speakers at the Warner Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills. Currently the most popular Toastmasters meeting location in greater Los Angeles, WCTM at the Marriott provides a wide variety of excellent meeting  rooms for one of Los Angeles' finest and largest Toastmasters groups.

Warner Center Toastmasters has been enhancing careers and enriching interpersonal communications for our members for twenty-five years. Why leave great speaking skills to politicians and captains of industry? You too can speak like a pro, and we'll show you how.

It all comes together in a clearly defined and well-supported program of speeches and exercises that help you to sharpen your verbal skills, organize your words and gestures, and make you fast on your feet. Lose your fear of speaking in front of a large group, and you'll feel more confident speaking to anybody!

The Warner Marriott is located at 21850 Oxnard Street at the corner of Topanga. From Santa Clarita to Calabasas, Santa Monica to Chatsworth, we have active members from all over the area.

We DO meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month without fail (except Xmas). Meeting begins at 630pm, gavel at 7pm. Meeting concludes approximately 9pm. Guest fee: five dollars.  This site is updated twice a month with forthcoming meeting details, so check back often.  For details, please contact:
