Public Speaking Skills Help You Breakthrough In Your Career!

Toastmasters is dedicated to helping you overcome your fear of public speaking, so why fumble around in the dark with your self-image? Think of your Toastmasters club as a communications laboratory, a forum for experimentation, a friendly place where it's OK to make mistakes -- in short, a workshop to polish your personal style.

Every Toastmaster knows that your fears and nervousness are magnified much more when you speak before an audience-- exactly the training you need to break down the barriers to reaching new friends and business prospects one-on-one, making you more at ease with yourself.

If  this sounds good to you, then come join us every two weeks for a light buffet and some great speakers at the Warner Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills. The Marriott provides a wide variety of excellent meeting rooms for the largest, most active
Toastmasters club in greater Los Angeles.

For professionals on the fast track, Toastmasters is the secret oil that keeps your engine running smoothly, a crucial pit stop in your business life. Warner Center Toastmasters has been enhancing careers and enriching interpersonal communications for our members for over twenty-five years. Why leave great speaking skills to politicians and captains of industry? You too can speak like a pro, and we'll show you how.

marriott hotelIt all comes together in a clearly defined and well-supported program of speeches and exercises that help you to sharpen your verbal skills, organize your words and gestures, and make you fast on your feet. Lose your fear of speaking in front of a large group, and you'll feel more confident speaking to anybody!

The Warner Marriott is located at 21850 Oxnard Street at the corner of Topanga. From Santa Clarita to Calabasas, Santa Monica to Chatsworth, we have active members from all over the area.

We DO meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month without fail (except Xmas and Thanksgiving). Greeting begins at 630pm, meeting/program begins promptly at 7pm. Meeting concludes approximately 9pm. Guest fee: five dollars.  This site is updated twice a month with forthcoming meeting details, so check back often.  For details, please contact:

Fellow Toastmasters,

What a great way to start our Holiday celebration. Warner Center Toastmasters Christmas party was a great success. I would like to thank all my fellow Toastmasters who made this party possible. Special thanks to Jojo Nall who again offered her place, Audrey Forte for organizing and recruiting her busy elves (Susan Fuchs, Eleonor, Teresa Kropp, Diane Cristofferson, Twincy, and PK,) and John Graves for sharing his beautiful music.

I want to take this opportunity to let all my fellow toastmasters especially the board members’ know how your support to the club is greatly appreciated. I could not wish for another club because WCTM is full of fun, love, and laughter. It has been a wonderful year and I am lucky and proud to be Warner Center Toastmasters President 2009-2010. Best Wishes for a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year.

Thank you,

Eleonor C. Arellano, ACB-CL WCTM President

Fellow Toastmasters ~

Accolades to hostess Jojo Nall for our Christmas party held this past Dec 5 at her lovely, holiday-garnished home. Audrey Forte, chairperson of the event, also did an outstanding job. With 40 in attendance, the party, which continued past midnight, was a tremendous success. Culinary highlights of the evening included a fantastic "spread "with many creative, winnersethnic offerings, hearty appetizers and drinks.

Too bad those members with conflicting dates had to miss out on a memorable evening. Our Toast champion Chanti Niven and her fiancee Ed, plus Teresa, and Chris gave thoughtful and reflective testimonials of the true meaning of the Christmas and Hanukkah Holidays. Accompanied by our gifted John at the piano, we all chimed in singing the perennial "12 Days Of Christmas" with Art Hugon and his "Dudley Doright" baritone at the helm. President Eleanor enriched the festivities with her hula dancing, once again proving that barefeet and concrete can be the best of friends, even on cold nights.

Warner Center Toastmasters continues on a roll -- with butter -- and we invite you to spread the good cheer and rich language experience this coming Thursday with a warm and Toasty program of five speakers to be led this week by Toastmaster of the evening Rose Lane!

best regards

The Toaster's Choice Staff
