WOW! Our 27th Anniversary!

You too can speak like a pro, and we'll show you how!

Toastmasters is dedicated to helping you overcome your fear of public speaking, so why fumble around in the dark with your self-image? Think of your Toastmasters club as a communications laboratory, a forum for experimentation, a friendly place where it's OK to make mistakes -- in short, a workshop to polish your personal style.

Every Toastmaster knows that your fears and nervousness are magnified much more when you speak before an audience-- exactly the training you need to break down the barriers to reaching new friends and business prospects one-on-one, making you more at ease with yourself.

If  this sounds good to you, then come join us every two weeks for a light buffet and some great speakers at the Warner Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills. The Marriott provides a wide variety of excellent meeting rooms for the largest, most active
Toastmasters club in greater Los Angeles.

For professionals on the fast track, Toastmasters is the secret oil that keeps your engine running smoothly, a crucial pit stop in your business life. Warner Center Toastmasters has been enhancing careers and enriching interpersonal communications for our members for over twenty-five years. Why leave great speaking skills to politicians and captains of industry? You too can speak like a pro, and we'll show you how.

marriott hotelIt all comes together in a clearly defined and well-supported program of speeches and exercises that help you to sharpen your verbal skills, organize your words and gestures, and make you fast on your feet. Lose your fear of speaking in front of a large group, and you'll feel more confident speaking to anybody!

The Warner Marriott is located at 21850 Oxnard Street at the corner of Topanga. From Santa Clarita to Calabasas, Santa Monica to Chatsworth, we have active members from all over the area.

We DO meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month without fail (except Xmas and Thanksgiving). Greeting begins at 630pm, meeting/program begins promptly at 7pm. Meeting concludes approximately 9pm. Guest fee: five dollars. (To avoid high hotel parking fees, may we suggest you park on the side street behind the hotel or in the Promenade Mall across Oxnard.) This site is updated twice a month with forthcoming meeting details, so check back often.  For details, please contact:

Fellow Toastmasters ~

At our last meeting, a record number of speech contestants came out to play for the International Speech Contest, and we thank all those who participated. The intrepid Chanti Niven winnerz5once again walked away with top speech honors and will move into higher levels of competition, and Susan Pepsin took top prize in the evaluation competition. Congratulations! Carolyn Goldman and Clifton Anderson did a superb job counting the ballots and running the contest.

And now, for our next miracle...It's been 27 wonderous years, and members of WCTM past and present are coming together this Thursday to refresh and review what great speechmaking is all about! Our 27th Anniversary is a special event with cake and champagne in the Hidden Hills Room of the Marriott Hotel. So go to the right after you enter the lobby.

We look forward to seeing all our incredible, active, current club members in 2010 as well as some venerable ex-members from years past, members like Don West, Dave DeFore, and Chick Saffell. The highly skilled Clifton Anderson will be helming the meeting as Toastmaster, Chanti heads our evaluation team, and topicmaster Joanne Nall will engage everyone in a fascinating topical tour.

If you attend one meeting this year, this is the one you don't want to miss.
